Amanda Gentry has been on an ever changing journey in her career to prepare her to bring Created on the Mountain to life. Her 25 years as a mental health therapist encompassed these careers: a school counselor in the northern neck of VA; to in-home therapist in impoverished areas of the City of Richmond; an owner of a private practice in her hometown of Jefferson, North Carolina.
During the past nine years, Amanda learned valuable skills as an organic farmer and as a part owner of a winery.
Through these experiences, Amanda is prepared to bring lessons of her past journeys to her new venture with Created on the Mountain, working with creative people on their own unique paths. This new work combines her focus on listening to others during her career with her fascination in documenting other people’s stories and journeys.
The creativity and passion Amanda has seen in small farmers, as well as the many local products and services created in her community, inspired her ability to connect these creative products and talents to those who will value them. By telling the poignant stories of the creators of locally made products and services, Amanda will share her dream of connecting her home town community to markets around the world.
Created on the Mountain provides the opportunity to draw on her multidimensional experiences from the past, to connect with the wealth of creative resources in her community, and to build unlimited future possibilities.
Amanda has decided to step, jump and fly!
Wendy has been on a quest to express her creativity since childhood. It has taken an interesting path, and she has lots to share with other creative people who want to reach their full creative potential.
As a North Carolina State University design school student, she formalized her intention to become an artist and although there were side trips along the way, she has painted professionally for 23 years.
Her experience as a housing consulting business owner for 23 years also brings valuable experience and skills to Created on the Mountain Creative Partners.
Her personal path to ultimate creative expression included clearing barriers and overcoming fears. This effort culminated in a transformative painting process that delivered her to a place of authentic creative expression, doing the work she has envisioned for a lifetime. With this work, Wendy is helping others overcome their fears, and begin to create with clarity and intention – with financial success.
